Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the MOABOA mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Nature of the Service (Portfolio Project)
You acknowledge that MOABOA is primarily a personal portfolio and educational project. While the App is functional and capable of managing real financial data, it is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
3. Data Ownership & Responsibility
MOABOA operates on a "Local-First" basis. Your financial transaction data is stored locally on your device in an SQLite database.
- Data Loss: You are solely responsible for backing up your data (using the App's JSON export feature). If you lose your device or uninstall the App without a backup, your data may be irretrievable.
- Security: Since data resides on your device, you are responsible for securing your device (e.g., using a passcode or biometrics) to prevent unauthorized access.
4. Third-Party Services (Plaid)
The App integrates with Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to provide bank syncing functionality. By linking your bank account, you grant Plaid the right, power, and authority to access and transmit your personal and financial information.
Your use of the bank syncing feature is subject to Plaid's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. No Financial Advice
The content and tools provided by MOABOA are for informational and organizational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You should consult with a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of MOABOA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, profits, or use, resulting from your use of the App.
